Shangqing Ancient Town boasts a history spanning over a thousand years. Located within the Longhushan Scenic Area, 25 kilometers from Yingtan City, the town is situated within the Shangqing Palace Scenic Area. The ancient town boasts numerous historical sites. The approximately 2-kilometer-long Shangqing Ancient Street boasts attractions such as Changqingfang, the Liuhou Ancestral Temple, the Tianshi Mansion, the Liuhou Residence, the Tianyuande Pharmacy, and the Catholic Church. The densely packed stilt houses and boat docks along the river further enhance the town's Jiangnan waterside charm. Village women washing silk, young women pounding clothes, children playing in the water, fishing boats, and white ducks floating on the water create a charming and picturesque scene.
To the east of the town are Shangqing Palace and Dongyue Palace, and to the northeast is Xiangshan Academy, one of the four great academies of the Southern Song Dynasty. Across the Luxi River lies Guizhou Village, the hometown of Ming Dynasty Prime Minister Xia Yan, and the site where the 11th Red Army and the Central Red Army met during the Second Civil Revolutionary War. Four kilometers from the ancient town is the Tianmen Mountain Ecological Tourist Area, home to primeval forests, waterfalls, and ancient dwellings.

They are shaped like goose eggs, smooth and round, with different lengths, densely arranged in an orderly manner, glowing, natural and harmonious. Some are even arranged in the shape of Tai Chi or Bagua, which are very exquisite. It is suitable to travel in all seasons to walk on the cobblestone road and experience Taoist culture.
