Wat Lok Molee’s Got That Ancient Magic

#summervacay Stumbled across Wat Lok Molee while wandering Chiang Mai, and dang, this temple’s got vibes. It’s not one of the flashy gold ones, but that’s exactly why I loved it. Super chill, not packed with tourists, and the old brick chedi (that big round tower thing) is seriously impressive. Like, this place has been around since the 1300s, wild.

The wooden prayer hall at the front has those classic Lanna-style roofs, and inside it’s peaceful with colorful flags and soft chanting music in the background. I just sat there for a while soaking it all in.

Outside, it’s all shady trees, friendly cats, and even a few funky statues. Doesn’t feel overly polished or commercial, just really real.

If you’re temple-hopping in Chiang Mai, definitely drop by this one. It’s got that quiet, ancient energy that makes you feel like you’ve time-traveled a bit. Plus, the vibes are way more relaxed than the busier spots. 🛕✨
