Wat Chet Lin, a Beautiful Temple in Chiang Mai

Wat Chet Lin is believed to have been built before 2060 B.E. (2060 B.E.) based on the discovery of an ancient poem called "Krong Nirat Hariphunchai," composed in 2060 during the reign of King Muang Kaew, the 11th King of Chiang Mai.

The temple's most important historical site is the large chedi, a rectangular and circular chedi with a three-tiered base, resembling a plan from the 21st century onwards. The decorative motifs resemble the motifs on the door arches and the large chedi used to enshrine the ashes of King Lokraj at Wat Chet Yot. It is believed to have been influenced by Wat Chet Yot and Wat Lok Moli.

Address: Phra Pok Klao Road, Phra Singh Subdistrict, Mueang District, Chiang Mai Province
