During festivals, whether it's Songkran or Loi Krathong, Chiang Mai will be packed with tourists. Some roads are impossible to enter or exit.

I chose to stay outside the moat of Chiang Mai. The Royal Peninsula Hotel saved my life. Traffic was not bad. The price was cheap. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable.

Walk from the accommodation to the moat comfortably. Stop by temples along the way, such as Wat Chiang Man, Wat Muen Lan, Wat Pha Khao.

Along the way in the heart of the old city, from Ratchadamnoen Road to Tha Pae, is the procession route during the Yi Peng tradition or the traditional New Year Festival (Songkran).

Have fun, feel satisfied, Thai Lanna tradition. Stay at the Royal Peninsula. The price is good.
