The Hancheng Confucian Temple, located in Dongxue Lane in the old city of Hancheng, Weinan, Shaanxi Province, is a well-preserved group of Yuan Dynasty buildings, boasting a dignified, majestic, and representative character. Despite repeated renovations, the temple's main architectural structures remain largely unchanged. It is one of the most representative surviving ancient architectural complexes from the 13th century in Shaanxi Province.
The total construction area of Hancheng Confucian Temple is 8,100 square meters. The entire building has flying eaves and pointed corners, carved beams and painted buildings, a spacious courtyard, a standard layout and a rigorous structure, showing the unique style of China's traditional national architecture that is simple, solemn and majestic.
The Hancheng City Museum is now attached here, which can display cultural relics, stone carvings, calligraphy and painting exhibitions, as well as various mass cultural and entertainment activities. It is the best place for patriotic education and the construction of socialist spiritual civilization.
