Wat Klang Wiang, an ancient temple in Chiang Rai

Wat Klang Wiang is located on Rattanakhet Road, Wiang Subdistrict, Mueang Chiang Rai District, Chiang Rai Province.
🙏It is an ancient temple located in the heart of Chiang Rai. In the past, when Chiang Rai was established, the city was surveyed from the 4 corners of the city, and this temple was the center of Chiang Rai. Therefore, it is called "Wat Klang Wiang".
🙏Wat Klang Wiang is a beautiful temple. There is a navel or the main pillar of Chiang Rai inside the temple.
🙏A pagoda was built to cover a red sandalwood tree, which is an auspicious tree that fell down in the past. Around the base of this pagoda, there are decorated elephants standing in a row, which is a place of worship for visitors.
🙏The ordination hall is built in the Lanna style, which is beautifully contemporary.
