Phra That Chom Sak, Chiang Rai Province
Phra That Chom Sak was originally called Phra That Doi Ban Yang, which is not far from the Kok River. It was built during the Yonok Chai Buri Sri Chiang Saen era until the reign of King Pangkrat, the 24th king of the Yonok Dynasty. There was a monk from Kosala, Suthammawadi city, named Phra Phutthakhosachan, who brought 16 relics from Sri Lanka to present to him. King Pangkrat ordered the pagoda to be divided into 3 parts: one part was enshrined at Phra That Doi Chom Thong, the second part was enshrined at Phra That Chom Kiti, and the third part was enshrined at Phra That Doi Ban Yang.
When paying homage to Phra That Doi Chom Sak, it is believed that if you pay homage, you will receive the highest blessing and encounter only good things in your life miraculously.
