If you're visiting Chiang Rai, Wat Huay Pla Kang is a must-see! It’s a peaceful temple complex with a huge white statue of Guan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy, standing tall on a hill. You can even take an elevator up inside the statue—the view from the top is totally worth it! 🌄
The atmosphere here is super calm and refreshing, not overly crowded when I went. There’s also a beautiful 9-storey pagoda nearby that adds even more charm to the place. Whether you're into taking photos or just enjoying a quiet moment, this place has something special.
✨ Tip: Late afternoon is the best time to go—not too hot and the lighting is soft for pictures. Make sure to dress respectfully since it's a religious site.
🎟️ Entrance Fee: Free to walk around, elevator ride up costs around 40 THB
🕒 Opening Hours: Daily from 7:00 AM – 9:30 PM
A perfect mix of culture, calmness, and a little adventure. Definitely worth a visit while in Chiang Rai 🙌📷
