The Blue Temple, officially known as Wat Rong Suea Ten, is a stunning and modern Buddhist temple located in Chiang Rai, Thailand. Its name translates to "Temple of the Dancing Tiger," referring to the legend that tigers once roamed the area.
Known for its vibrant sapphire-blue color and golden accents, the temple is a masterpiece of contemporary Thai art. It was designed by Putha Kabkaew, a student of Chalermchai Kositpipat, the artist behind the famous White Temple.
The Blue Temple features a richly decorated main hall (ubosot) with intricate carvings, dragon statues, and stunning murals. Inside, a large white Buddha statue sits peacefully, surrounded by glowing blue lights and detailed wall paintings that reflect Buddhist teachings.
Unlike more traditional temples, Wat Rong Suea Ten combines modern aesthetics with deep spiritual symbolism, offering visitors a unique and immersive cultural experience.
