Golden Triangle: Thai, Lao, Myanmar border

The golden triangle has an amazing display of giant buddhas, elephants and other sacred religious articles to see while looking out over the mostly barren Laos and Myanmar borders. Impressive as they are the history behind the region is explained in part in the opium museum across the street a short walk away.
