Sisters Pond and Giant Trees Trail of Alishan

Take the Alishan Forest Train to the Zhaoping Station. As soon as you exit the station, you will see the strange rocks of Tashan under the blue sky and white clouds.
Turn right and walk along the wooden plank road. Pass through the ancient wooden archway and cross the fir forest, where you will see a small emerald green pond. This is Meitan. Going further ahead is the larger Jietan. The water is clear, with the reflections of the two Acacia Pavilions in the lake.
Continue to turn right and enter the Giant Wood Plank Road. The first and second phases of the Giant Wood Plank Road are a little over 1 kilometer long. There are dozens of giant trees gathered here, such as the thousand-year-old cypress, the sacred tree of Xianglin, the eternal tree of fortune, and the three-generation tree; the tallest giant tree No. 28; and the oldest giant tree No. 2.
When you arrive at Shenmu Railway Station, don’t miss the 3,000-year-old sacred tree that has been felled.
When we were returning, it was raining heavily and the Shenyi Waterfall was not clearly visible.
