The Jogyesa Temple (the center

The Jogyesa Temple (the center of Korean Buddhism) is the main and the head temple of the Jogye order, in Seoul. Built in the 14th century, it opens its doors for visitors all year round (located two blocks away from Jonggak Station). Celebrations for Buddha’s Birthday together with the annual lantern festival are held in this temple.
If you visit Korea during April/May, you could join this celebration practically at any Buddhist Temple in the country.
