Chibi Yingtu Mountain Retreat | Nestled in Nature, Dwelling in the Heart

❣️Arrived in Chibi in the afternoon, driving up the winding mountain roads. The homestay is nestled in a village, about 2-3 kilometers into the village. This season, the drive is beautifully lined with blooming rapeseed flowers. The village is a genuine mountain retreat, with roosters crowing, dogs barking, and stunning natural scenery. The homestay occupies a small hillside, like a hidden paradise.

🔥Stayed in the "Garden View Premium Suite"
The room was clean and well-maintained, featuring an outdoor bathtub, a private tea room, Marshall speakers, a Dyson hairdryer, and Le Labo toiletries. The thoughtful touches included aromatherapy and family-friendly arrangements, with children's toothbrushes and slippers prepared, and tea sets and leaves neatly arranged in the tea room.

🥬Mountain-style Breakfast and Dinner
Dining at the long table in the courtyard was a delightful experience. The ingredients were sourced from the homestay's own vegetable garden and fish pond, ensuring freshness. The breakfast offered a variety of options, including hot dry noodles and wontons, both nutritious and delicious. A neighboring guest shared homemade bayberry wine, and as the evening grew tipsy, we found ourselves discussing Tao Yuanming. The sweet soup served at night was also a treat.

✨Starry Night Sky
After the lights went out at the retreat, the Milky Way was visible to the naked eye. Wrapped in a blanket on the stargazing platform, I could clearly see where the handle of the Big Dipper pointed for the first time.

💥The Final Touch of Ceremony
The experience activities, centered around intangible cultural heritage and Zen practices, were unique—incense-making, scripture copying, and singing bowl sessions helped distance us from the hustle and bustle. The homestay’s tea-boiling by the fire (a professional setup in the camp) was a highlight, followed by various prize draws and farewell gifts.

🌈It turns out that "escaping the city" isn’t about geographical distance but rediscovering the ability to appreciate life’s subtle joys.
