✨A day trip from Cancun, where we honeymooned! The power of Chichen Itza, a World Heritage Site✨

While on our honeymoon in Cancun, we took a day trip to the World Heritage Site of Chichen Itza.

A Japanese guide organized a tour exclusively for Japanese people.
(I looked online and found that there weren't many options, so I think most of them were from the same agent! (^^)!)

El Castillo (the pyramid), a symbol of Mayan civilization, was even more impressive than it appears in photos; it was breathtaking.

The vast grounds are home to temples and ball courts, and it was a valuable experience experiencing the lives and beliefs of ancient people. We also enjoyed swimming in a cenote!

The stories of Mayan history were fascinating.

Although there were many tourists, the area was spacious and not cramped, and walking while listening to the guide's explanations was more moving than just touring ruins.

The sun was very strong, so a hat, sunscreen, and plenty of water were essential.

This is an absolute must-see spot on your trip to Mexico, and will leave you with special honeymoon memories.
