The New Chitose Airport Observation Deck is a place where you can see planes taking off and arriving at New Chitose Airport, the gateway to Hokkaido's skies, with the vast land in the background.

Closed during the winter season.
Open from April 1st to November 30th.
Business hours are from 8:00 to 20:00.

It is a simple observation facility, but
binoculars are available for a fee, making it a place where you can feel the many planes close to you.

Before taking off from Hokkaido, I took my time to look at the scenery and was reluctant to leave.

There are many stairs to get to the observation deck, so be careful not to slip on rainy days.
