Hike to Pingtian Lake and enjoy the whispers of autumn.

The cultural tour of Anhui, Hubei and Jiangxi provinces came to Chizhou. Since you are in Chizhou, you must check in at Qishan Pingtian Lake.

Taking advantage of the mid-autumn time, I went on a spontaneous hiking trip. Starting from Xinxi Street, follow the directions on the map and stroll through the city and the park. As the urban jungle gradually faded away, I saw a vast expanse of water. The Pingtian Lake I had been thinking about day and night was here. Pingtian Lake Scenic Area consists of five parts: Qishan, Bishan, Pingtian Lake, Wetland and Taoyuan. It integrates mountains, water and wetlands, with beautiful natural scenery and profound cultural heritage.

Pingtian Lake, formerly known as Baisha Lake. The lake is now known as Pingtian Lake because of the Tang Dynasty poet Li Bai who visited Jiuhua three times and Qiupu five times while wandering in Chizhou a thousand years ago. He wrote the immortal quatrain "The water is like a silk ribbon, this place is Pingtian. You can ride on the bright moon and watch the flowers on a wine boat" by the lake. Later generations renamed it Pingtian Lake.

When you walk through Pingtian Lake Tianlu and Pingtian Lake Lotus Terrace, you can see the "Wanghua Tower" from afar. The Wanghua Tower is located in a unique scenic location on the top of a green mountain, echoing the Pingtian Lake Lotus Terrace from a distance, and is on the same central axis as Qiupu Road and Lotus Terrace in the main urban area of Chizhou. Standing on the Wanghua Tower, you can see the main peak of Jiuhua Mountain, standing tall above the land of southern Anhui.

Seeing the beautiful mountains and rivers of the motherland, I thought of the famous poem by poet Ai Qing: "Why are there always tears in my eyes? Because I love this land deeply."
