Chef Nook's Thai fish sashimi is highly acclaimed. Today, we tried it at the Bangsaen beachfront branch. Their main branch is on Khao Lam Road (the bigger one, with more variety). We were just passing by the beach that day and stopped by to eat there. Their fish is truly fresh! They even have live squid shots. If you're a fan of fish, give them a try. They have many different kinds of fish, but I can't remember them all! 😆 The names aren't all that familiar. The only familiar ones are the nam dok mai (water lily) and pla kud salak (salted fish), something like that. 👍
The staff here are friendly and approachable. Even though it was raining, they let us sit inside, filling up the entire restaurant, haha. The restaurant has a display of bullet jellyfish on the tank. They ran out, so we asked them to bring some from the main restaurant, and they brought some for us. They were delicious! Fresh, crisp, and not salty at all. The oysters were also incredibly fresh. The staff were so nice they even made us a spicy salad. The nam dok mai (water lily) yukke was incredibly friendly.
And, most importantly, you can buy other things to eat at this restaurant, including drinks and local seafood, in case you're craving something different. Because the tables are right by the sea.
📍Wonnapha Beach
🚗 Parking along the beach.
💰 Choose your spot. Fish are 150-200 baht each, depending on the species.
