Friends passing through Tongnan city must go to see the "Great Buddha Temple" which was built during the Tang Xiantong period and has a history of more than 1160 years
Initially, this super popular place was not called the Great Buddha Temple, but was named "Dingmingyuan", also known as "Nanchan Temple", and later
It was renamed "Great Buddha Temple" because a large Buddha was carved into the mountain inside the temple during the Song Dynasty

Not only does the temple have the world's seventh, the largest indoor gold-clad Moya Great Buddha, the earliest building with a full-glazed roof "Qiyanyan Buddha Pavilion", one of the four major echo buildings in China "Shidengqin Sound", the largest national Moya carved calligraphy "Buddha" and other eighteen attractions
It also preserves the Buddha and Taoist cliff carvings that began in the Sui Dynasty, flourished in the Tang and Song Dynasties, continued in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and lasted until the Republic of China, with a duration of more than 1400 years
