The red plum blossoms in Gele Mountain, Chongqing, are in full bloom! Now is the best time to enjoy the plum blossoms. The mountain is covered with red plum blossoms, like a pink ocean.
🌸 Highlights
Location: The red plum forest in the Gele Mountain Hongyan Scenic Area is located on the east side of Baigong, the south side of Zhazidong, and along the route from Baigong to Zhazidong. The total area is about 50,000 square meters, with more than 1,900 red plum trees.
Flowering period: The red plum blossoms this year are earlier than in previous years. They have already entered the full bloom period in late January. The best time to enjoy the flowers is from late January to mid-February.
Features: The red plum blossoms here are not only beautiful, but also carry the "red plum complex" of Chongqing people, symbolizing the indomitable Hongyan spirit. Each flower seems to tell a story of history.
🚗 Transportation
Public transportation: Take Metro Line 1 to Lieshimu Station or Ciqikou Station, and walk or transfer to Bus 210 to Baigong Station.
Self-driving: Navigate to "Gele Mountain Hongyan Scenic Area" or "Meiyuan". There is a parking lot near the scenic area, but it may be crowded when there are many people. Green travel is recommended.

Photo spots: The pine square and the hillside in front of Zhazidong are good photo spots, where you can take photos of the beautiful red plum blossoms.
Route: Walk along the Shaci Trail, enjoy the flowers and take photos along the way, and feel the harmonious combination of red plum blossoms and Hongyan culture.

Enjoying the flowers is free, but you need to make a reservation in advance to enter Baigong and Zhazidong.
There is also the Hongyan Cultural Scenic Area near the red plum forest, which you can visit to experience the charm of both history and nature.
