🌄 龙水峡地缝 Longshuixia Fissure Gorge Guide

Longshuixia Fissure Gorge is a classic karst landform in Wulong, part of the UNESCO-listed South China Karst World Heritage Site. The gorge is known for its soaring cliffs, hidden waterfalls, and lush vegetation, creating a natural corridor often referred to as “a journey through the Earth.”

Main Highlights
• 银河飞瀑 (Silver River Waterfall): The landmark attraction, with water plunging 80m from the cliff. When sunlight hits, it forms a silver ribbon resembling the Milky Way.
• 蚓龙寒窟 (Yinlong Cold Cave): A deep underground cavern filled with stalactites and rushing streams. Damp, chilly, and mysterious.
• 地缝峡谷 (The Gorge Itself): 5 km long, with ~2 km walkable. The valley is 200–500m deep, flanked by towering cliffs. Visitors often see a line of sky above with waterfalls cascading down the sides.
• 观景电梯 (Sightseeing Elevator): Drops 80m directly into the valley, giving visitors a dramatic “underground descent” experience.

✨ Why Visit?

If the Three Natural Bridges are about scale and grandeur, Longshuixia Gorge is about immersion. Walking between sheer cliffs with waterfalls tumbling from above feels like stepping into a fantasy world. It’s a must-visit pairing with Tian Sheng San Qiao when in Wulong.
