Day 1: Welcome to the city of the stairmaster 😬
Chongqing hits DIFFERENT, y’all! The height difference here is wild – def feelin’ the stairs workout 🥵. My calves are KILLING me… but honestly, the views from all those crazy levels are total eye candy! The city’s vibes at night, with all the glossy modern architecture, are unreal.
Had to try Sichuan hotpot because duh, it’s basically a rite of passage here. The servers saw me coming and gave me the “European spicy” 🌶️, not the ultra-blazing Sichuan level 🌶️🌶️🌶️ 🫢. More manageable, but sooo flavorful and fun! Love the energy in Chongqing’s food scene – it’s poppin’ (especially for midnight snacking!).
Night was a total mood when I caught the 1949 show at the Chongqing Grand Theatre (Address: No.138 Zhongshan 1st Road, Yuzhong District, Opening Hours: Usually after 7pm, check trip.com for tickets!). Imagine a *moving stage AND moving seats* – it’s wild! The show digs deep into China’s independence story with next-level production. Total must-see for culture lovers!
Pro Tip: Don’t leave before snapping nighttime pics at the iconic Chongqing Yangtze River Cableway (Address: No. 1 Chang'an Rd, Yuzhong District, Operating 7:00am–10:00pm). The rainy, misty cityscape from above? Pure cinematic magic ⚡️.
Day 2: Wulong Karst. Trying the internet poses 😬
Next up: epic day trip to Wulong Karst (Address: Wulong District, Chongqing, open 7:30am–6:00pm)! This spot is straight outta a fantasy movie – dramatic canyons, impossibly green landscapes, and the *galaxy waterfall* that looks kinda alien 👽. Had to jump on the viral social media poses, of course – let’s be real, this place is MADE for your feed.
If you’re craving adventure and mind-blowing nature, lock in this day trip. Tip: You can book roundtrip transport and tickets easily through trip.com, which totally saves the hassle.
Overall, Chongqing is intense, delicious, and full of surprises. Stairs will get you sweating, but the eats and sights are totally worth it. Definitely put this wild city on your bucket list!
