Introducing Baihuayuan

Baihua Garden is Qingdao's first large-scale memorial garden. Construction began in 1984, covering an area of 8.25 hectares, nestled against Qingdao Mountain to the north and bordering Zhongshan Park to the south. In 1995, the Qingdao Municipal Government commissioned renowned domestic sculptors to create statues of 20 prominent cultural figures who were either born in or resided in Qingdao and achieved significant success. Hence, it is also known as the Cultural Celebrities Sculpture Garden.

The garden features ten scenic spots: the Three Friends of Winter, Flower Creek, Sun Moon Lake, Tongxin Bridge, Lotus Pond, Albizia Julibrissin Forest, Dragon and Tiger Jar, Red Autumn, White Snow Flower God, and a fishing spot. Baihua Garden is Qingdao's first large-scale memorial garden. The garden boasts a serene and undulating terrain, winding paths, shaded by lush trees and abundant grass, creating an idyllic landscape of "small bridges, flowing water, and houses." There are over 2,600 trees and shrubs from hundreds of varieties, and approximately 8,000 flowers from 110 species.

Statues of famous people are scattered throughout the garden, creating a garden masterpiece where the cultural and natural landscapes complement each other.
