A hidden gem for family hiking that's free of charge!

While the city is swept by summer heatwaves,

Chongzuo in Guangxi still maintains the coolness and tranquility of the mountains.

The sharp ridgelines and emerald-like lakes create a charming contrast.

Bringing your kids here for a hike is like stepping into a secret green fairyland.

Not only is it less crowded and beautiful, but there is also no entrance fee at all.

This summer,

why not bring your children and measure this "Guangxi Faroe Islands" with your footsteps?

Create adventurous memories and enjoy the summer coolness with your family.

🥾 Two family-friendly routes for you to choose from

✅ Family-friendly route (about 2 hours):

Start directly from Peak No. 4, with a gentle slope and shorter distance.

At the summit, you can overlook the entire "Matcha Mountain Range" and the emerald reservoir, with a wide view perfect for photos. Kids can easily complete the whole route.

✅ Loop challenge route (about 4 hours):

Complete the hike through Peaks 1 to 4, enjoying 360° unobstructed mountain views.

Some sections are steep and require using hands and feet to climb, suitable for older kids who like challenges. The scenery along the way is excellent, and the sweat won’t be wasted.

🎒 Must-have checklist for hiking with kids

❶ Non-slip hiking shoes: Stone paths may be slippery, safety first.

❷ Gloves: Protect kids’ hands during climbing.

❸ Trekking poles: Assist walking and save energy.

❹ Sun protection gear, drinking water (recommended over 2L), energy snacks: Prevent sunburn and heatstroke.

❺ Sunscreen: UV rays are strong in the mountains, so protect well.

❻ Emergency medicine: such as Mupirocin ointment.

Kids are lively and active during outdoor hikes, and minor bumps are inevitable. If there are scrapes or insect bites, applying Mupirocin ointment promptly can help prevent infection. It spreads easily, absorbs quickly, and is non-sticky. I recently saw it featured on the show "Wild Planet," which reminded me to be well-prepared for outdoor trips. Bringing kids into nature means having emergency supplies ready to handle unexpected small situations calmly.

𝑇𝑖𝑝𝑠:

❶ Set navigation to "Dengta, Tiandeng County, Chongzuo, Guangxi." There is parking and route guidance at the foot of the mountain.

❷ Transportation: About 3 hours by car from Nanning; if taking the high-speed train to Chongzuo South Station, a taxi ride takes about 1.5 hours.

❸ Bring your own food: There are no supply points on the mountain, so prepare enough water and food in advance.

❹ Environmental reminder: Please take your trash with you and help protect this natural beauty.
