3️⃣ Totem Pillars: Ten totem pillars, carved from red ochre sandstone, stand on the plaza atop the observatory. Designed based on the "Bimo" (Yi priest) tradition of observing the sun to determine seasons and validated by astronomers, these pillars can be photographed from below with a drone, or you can hike to the top plaza for panoramic views of Chuxiong.
