๐ Take the Free Shuttle (Summer Season Only)
During peak season (late Mayโearly October), leave your car at the Park & Ride on Bear Lake Road and hop on the free park shuttle.
โ
Perfect for: Bear Lake, Glacier Gorge, and Moraine Park trailheads.
๐ Shuttles run every 10โ15 minutes and help avoid parking headaches at popular spots.
๐ง Pro Tip: Start early to catch the first few shuttles and beat the crowds!
๐ Driving Into the Park
๐ฃ๏ธ You can drive the scenic Trail Ridge Road (seasonal) for jaw-dropping views โ the highest continuous paved road in the U.S.
๐
ฟ๏ธ Parking can fill up fast by 9 AM at major trailheads like Bear Lake and Wild Basin, so arrive early or late afternoon for better luck.
๐ง Pro Tip: Download offline maps โ cell service is limited.
๐๏ธ Timed Entry Permit System
From late May to mid-October, youโll need a Timed Entry Permit in addition to your park pass.
๐ Two options:
Bear Lake Corridor + rest of the park
Park-wide (excluding Bear Lake Corridor)
๐ง Pro Tip: Reserve your permit online in advance
