I just experienced my third Six Senses property, and this time, it was an absolutely stunning, secluded resort built right between two mountains on Con Dao Island in Vietnam. Tucked away with mountains on three sides and the ocean on one, boasting an incredibly long beach, it truly felt like a genuine hideaway. As night fell, the sky transformed into a breathtaking curtain of stars, framed by the surrounding peaks.

Six Senses always emphasizes sustainability, and this location was no exception. Beneath a wooden turtle sculpture, I discovered a sea turtle hatchery! We were there just a few days after some turtles hatched, and I learned that in two months, they'd be released – a truly heartwarming initiative.

I noticed that Six Senses' earlier resorts, like this one, often feature these raw, eco-friendly villa designs. My room was a two-story villa right near the beach, complete with its own private pool – pure bliss!

There was so much to do. I tried out various beach activities like kayaking and pedaling, played different ball games, and even attempted sea golf!

The resort has two restaurants: a Western one by the beach and a Vietnamese restaurant. Over my stay, I indulged in a fantastic lobster buffet one night, enjoyed a flavorful Vietnamese hot pot another, and had a truly magical Western dinner set up right on the beach. Dining under a canopy of stars, with the mountains enclosing me, was an unforgettable experience.

It was the perfect blend of luxury, nature, and responsible tourism. I'd highly recommend this hidden gem!
