Copacabana and the Island of the Sun

Copacabana and the Island of the Sun🌴. The name Copacabana originates from the Aymara term 'Kota Kawana,' meaning 'view of the lake.' It was a sacred site during the Inca era and remains a Catholic pilgrimage destination today. The Copacabana Basilica, which enshrines the Virgen Morena (Black Madonna) known for her miraculous powers, is the most revered pilgrimage site in Bolivia and inspired the name of Copacabana in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil🇧🇷.

The Island of the Sun is filled with attractions, such as the Yumani Port, which has existed since the Inca era, and the Pilco Kayna Palace, built by Tupac Yupanqui✨. The port⚓️ was absolutely stunning✨.
