Savoring Local Flavors at "Fonda El Comal".
📍Location: Fonda "El Comal" (Inside the market)
🕰️Situation: A lively local market in the morning
📷Atmosphere: A vibrant eatery surrounded by colorful tablecloths. The cozy space offers a special experience of enjoying breakfast alongside locals!
⸻
🍽️【What I Ate】
The main dish was a tostada plate inspired by **"Chilaquiles"**!
• Loaded with lettuce, tomato, and avocado slices on top of the tostada
• Finished with **plenty of cheese (Cotija)** and cream, creating a perfect balance of crispy texture and creamy flavor.
• Served with three types of sauces (likely red, green, and salsa Mexicana) on the side, allowing you to customize the taste to your liking!
⸻
🪑【Restaurant Atmosphere】
As seen in the second and third photos:
• The walls are painted bright yellow and red, giving off an energetic vibe.
• The open kitchen features mothers skillfully cooking.
• The menu is packed on the walls, with **"DESAYUNOS (Breakfast)"** taking center stage. Options include sopes, tacos, enchiladas, pozole, and more!
⸻
📝【Impressions】
This is exactly the kind of place where you understand why locals come every day. I enjoyed an authentic Mexican breakfast that you can't find at touristy restaurants.
✅ Affordable and filling
✅ 100% local vibe
✅ A happiness-inducing start to the day
⸻
📌A Tip for Future Visitors:
The menu is written on the wall, so pointing and ordering works just fine. Be sure to try **"Chilaquiles," "Sopes," and "Café de Olla"**!
