Not in the Middle East, but in Hebei, so close yet so beautiful, the Daqiu Ethnic Palace

After departing from the Guomao Bridge on the Third Ring Road in Beijing and heading east, passing through the Tongzhou sub-center and entering Hebei, there is a Daqiu Hui Autonomous County. On the west side of the county town is the Daqiu Ethnic Palace. Designed by Professor He Jing Tang, it is modeled after a mosque and adopts the traditional Chinese cultural concept of 'Heaven is round, Earth is square'. The main body of the Ethnic Palace is composed of a semi-circular dome and a square base, surrounded by 56 petal-shaped arches forming a colonnade, symbolizing the great unity of 56 ethnic groups. From the outside, the building is majestic and distinctive. The Ethnic Palace is surrounded by a ring of water, which creates reflections of the building, making it dynamic and wonderful, with a strong exotic charm, resembling foreign architecture.
