The Nampyeong Moon Clan is a prominent Korean clan with a long and distinguished history. Bon-gwan (ancestral seat): Nampyeong, now part of Naju in South Jeolla Province (Jeollanam-do), South Korea.The bon-gwan indicates where the founding ancestor of the clan settled or originated. The clan traces its origin to Moon Hyo-dal or Moon In-su , depending on sources. These early ancestors were believed to have lived during the Goryeo Dynasty (918–1392) or even earlier.
