🌞 Daytime Travel at Daejeon Expo

During my trip to Daejeon, I took some time to visit the Daejeon Expo Science Park. This location, which served as the main stage for the 1993 Daejeon Expo, still stands as a relaxing urban space centered around the iconic Hanbit Tower.

🚶♀️ Strolling Around Hanbit Tower
The Hanbit Tower, a symbol of the Daejeon Expo, is impressive during the day and features a unique structure that’s worth exploring up close. The plaza surrounding the tower is spacious, making it ideal for a leisurely walk. On clear days, it’s also a great spot for taking photos.

🎡 Expo Bridge
The Expo Bridge, which spans over Gapcheon River, is another pleasant walking route. The view of Gapcheon and the Daejeon cityscape from the bridge is surprisingly beautiful, making it a perfect place to pause and enjoy the scenery.

🪐 Nearby Attractions
Around the Expo Park, you’ll find the National Science Museum and the Daejeon Citizen Observatory. If you have enough time, visiting the museum for its interactive exhibits is highly recommended. However, if you’re short on time, a stroll around Hanbit Tower and the park is enough to soak in the Expo atmosphere.

There are several cafes near Hanbit Tower where you can enjoy a refreshing drink after your walk. Even a brief visit can provide a relaxing break between your travel itinerary.

• During the day, it’s great for walking, while at night, the illuminated Hanbit Tower offers a stunning view. Choose based on your travel schedule.
