Shexiang Ancient Town covers an area of 1,522.74 mu (approximately 1,015,160 square meters) with a total construction area of about 634,000 square meters. It is located 4 kilometers north of Dafang County in Bijie City, Guizhou Province, right next to the G321 National Highway. The transportation is quite convenient!
The town features the country's urban flower sea terraces—known as the Ancient Yi Terraces—along with a quaint cultural and tourism commercial street. It has become a unique town that integrates "sightseeing, tourism, experiences, entertainment, dining, and shopping" while preserving the ancient Yi ethnic style. In late 2018, it was officially designated as a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.
Surprisingly, before 2015, the site of the ancient town was a desolate hillside. At its center was a large waterlogged depression locally known as "Ma Wo." Designers utilized the natural terrain to create an urban terrace here, which not only saved significant development costs but also laid a solid foundation for the subsequent tourism industry.
Shexiang Ancient Town has become a well-known leisure and tourism destination. For visitors traveling to Bijie, Guizhou, the Ancient Yi Terraces have become a must-visit spot.
Detailed Address: East of National Highway 326, Dafang County, Bijie City, Guizhou Province.
