The "No Two Dharma Gate" refers to the main entrance archway you first see upon entering the Nanshan Cultural Tourism Zone in Sanya, Hainan. This towering archway, built in the architectural style of my country's Southern and Northern Dynasties period, features the characters "Bu Er" (不二) inscribed in large calligraphy above its lintel. Hence, the name "Bu Er Dharma Gate" (不二法门) evokes a fundamental concept in Buddhist theory (see the photo introducing the "No Two Dharma Gate"). "Bu Er" is also known as "no two" or "apart from two extremes."
The Dharma Gate is the landmark of the scenic area. Following this, the straight main entrance avenue, the visitor center plaza, the "Bu Er" Dharma Gate, and Guangming Square form the axis. Guangming Square serves as a transitional space for the entire area, dividing the tourist flow. The western wing is connected by the mutually inclusive Cihang Pudu Garden, Ruciji Cangyuan, Changshou Valley, Hainan Nanshan Temple, and Suandoulin Sand Dam. The eastern wing is supplemented by the guesthouse and living areas, and the progressive structure extends southward to the Haishang Guanyin Garden.

The Only Way is a scenic spot in Sanya, Hainan, known for its stunning natural beauty, unique rock formations, and panoramic views. It holds cultural significance for the local population, offering a serene environment for reflection and nature exploration.
The Only Way is located in Sanya, on the southern tip of Hainan Island. It can be accessed by taxi or private car from central Sanya, which takes around 20-30 minutes. Public transportation options may also be available, but taxis are more convenient for reaching the attraction directly.
The attraction is open daily from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The best times to visit are in the early morning or late afternoon to avoid the midday crowds and enjoy cooler weather, especially during the summer months.
The entrance fee for The Only Way is approximately 60 RMB. Tickets can be purchased on-site at the entrance, and there may be options for purchasing tickets online through travel platforms or official websites.
Advance booking is not mandatory, but it is recommended to purchase tickets in advance during peak tourist seasons (especially during Chinese holidays) to avoid long waiting times.
You can expect to spend around 2 to 3 hours exploring The Only Way, including time to hike the trails, enjoy the viewpoints, and take photos.
Guided tours are available, and most guides speak Mandarin. Audio guides may be available in different languages, including English, depending on the time of year and demand.
It is recommended to start at the entrance, explore the rock formations, then proceed to the main viewpoint. From there, follow the walking trails to other scenic spots. The entire route is well-marked, and visitors can choose how much time to spend at each location.
Currently, there are no night visits or light shows available. However, the natural beauty of the area makes it ideal for a peaceful afternoon visit.
The site can be crowded during weekends and holidays, especially in the summer. The least crowded times are early in the morning or later in the afternoon on weekdays.
There are toilets and basic rest areas along the walking trails. There are no large restaurants on-site, but small kiosks selling snacks and drinks may be available. For full meals, it is best to visit restaurants in Sanya city.
The trails may be difficult for elderly or disabled visitors, especially in more rugged areas. Children will enjoy the hike, but it's important to keep an eye on them due to uneven terrain. The main areas around the entrance are more accessible.
Cash is accepted, but mobile payments such as Alipay and WeChat Pay are widely used and preferred for most transactions at the site.
