Cebu's Highest Peak

Osmeña peak (aka O peak) is one of the famous tourist attractions in Cebu situated in Mantalongon, Dalaguete. It is the highest peak in Cebu but if you are not the type who likes adventure or mountaineering, do not worry, since it just take a 30 minute hike to reach the peak. It is a 4 hour bus ride from the city proper. Upon reaching the bus drop-off point at Dalaguete, you need to ride a motorcycle (aka habal-habal) which will take you to the jump-off point. Upon registration, you need to pay 50 pesos per head and 100 pesos per tent if you bring your own tent and opt for an overnight stay. They will also require you to have a tour guide (minimum rate is 100 pesos but you can tip bigger amount if you feel generous). Most tourists opt for just a day hike, but if you want to marvel at the beauty of sunrise, then I recommend for an overnight stay to witness the beautiful sunrise the following day. Aside from the instagramable scenery, you can go grocery shopping for vegetables which the locals sell at a cheaper price.
