Visit the Gulangyu Water Drill Platform to explore its impressive maritime structures, enjoy scenic views of the sea, and learn about the history of the area's water drilling activities. It's also a great spot for photography and enjoying the surrounding natural beauty.

The Water Drill Platform is the site where Zheng Chenggong conducted naval exercises to recapture Taiwan. The four characters "Minhai Xiongfeng" (Minhai Heroic Wind) carved on the cliff face are round, full, and vigorous. On another boulder on the front right side is a five-character quatrain inscribed by Zheng Chenggong: "Ritual music, clothing, and the family of Confucius and Mencius. The South Mountain opens the city of longevity, the East Sea brews flowing clouds."
This poem was engraved in the style of Zheng Chenggong's handwriting, with two seals, "Zheng Sen's Private Seal" and "Chenggong", engraved underneath. Standing on the water drill platform, one would always recall the spectacular scene of Zheng Chenggong commanding the troops here, with flags fluttering on the river, hundreds of boats competing for the race, and warriors eager for the reunification of the motherland.
