Good old hill station

Dalat continues to be a charming little hill station for me. And I say that as someone who first went there as a kid almost 20 years ago on a family holiday. Yes, it had considerably changed and developed and with most of Vietnam. But if you are able to avoid the town part. You are back to the good old holiday feel.

The town has its advantages too. Especially the market area and those walks around the lake make for a lovely evening. Something it continues to retain. That sense of simplicity in local life and especially being away from town. You're welcomed by the lack of high tech this and that which surrounds us back home. I find that refreshing.
