If you’re a fan of Chinese martial arts dramas or just love stepping into the past, Tianlongbabu Movie City in Dali, Yunnan, is a must-visit! As soon as I arrived, I felt like I had walked straight into a wuxia novel. The ancient architecture, adorned with traditional red lanterns and ornate carvings, is breathtakingly beautiful.
One of my favorite spots was the Duan Clan Mansion. The intricate golden designs on the facade and the vibrant decorations made me imagine the grandeur of noble families from centuries ago. The photo-worthy murals, such as the one of a graceful lady in traditional attire, added an artistic charm to the place.
Another highlight was the recreated ancient jail cart, which looked so real it gave me a glimpse into the harsh justice system of the past. For a lighter experience, the old blacksmith shop sign hanging on chains caught my eye – a quaint reminder of simpler times.
To complete my journey, I stood in awe of the majestic Cangshan Mountain in the backdrop. Nature and history blend so seamlessly here, making it an unforgettable experience.
If you’re planning a trip to Dali, don’t miss this incredible movie city! It’s a perfect spot for history buffs, photography enthusiasts, and wuxia drama fans alike.
