A ferry ride for just 20 yuan takes you to the idyllic Jinsuo Island in Erhai Lake near Dali in just a few minutes. This small island is sometimes quite crowded, but those who make the effort to walk a little further will be rewarded with absolute peace and quiet and can enjoy beautiful views of nature, even stretching across the lake to Ancient Dali. A stroll will reveal historic temples, the colorful Dragon Palace, and traditional fishermen. There are plenty of places to eat there, including cute cafes where you can linger for a while. There are even hotels. In my opinion, a stop is definitely worth it.
