This time I stayed at Mangshu · Taotang Hill Seaview Hotel (Dali Erhai Branch)
Absolutely the pinnacle of serene style 🌸
Natural wood furniture and intentionally imperfect gray-white walls,
paired with Bai-style gray tile roofs, every snapshot looks like a high-end masterpiece 📸

• Every room has floor-to-ceiling glass windows facing Erhai Lake; I wake up every day to the sparkling water
• While soaking in the bath, you can take in the full view of Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake (remember to bring a bath ball for the perfect photo)
• Waiting for sunset on the terrace, watching Cangshan change from golden to pink-purple, breathtakingly beautiful 🌄

🎋 Bai aesthetics taken to the extreme
• The cracks on the walls are hand-chiseled by craftsmen, creating an artistic feel
• The housekeeper said the gray tiles are deliberately aged; on rainy days, the rhythm of water dripping from the eaves is super soothing

🍵 Immersive healing experience
• Stretching by the big floor-to-ceiling window in the early morning is incredibly relaxing
• Afternoon tea features waffles + Yunnan small bean coffee ☕️
• The biggest surprise is the goodnight sweet soup, different every day, with silver ear fungus soup as my favorite

📍 Super convenient location
• A 10-minute walk to the core area of Shuanglang Ancient Town, much quieter than staying in the Old Town
• Mu Xi Dali is nearby
• Rent a car to circle the lake; the guesthouse provides free maps 🗺️

✨ Housekeeper service is legendary
• A service group was created before arrival, and tea was served upon check-in 🍵
• A farewell gift was given at checkout 🎁, and the handwritten card was so heartfelt

• Remember to bring a white long dress; photos in front of the gray wall come out amazing
