Open the door and stay inside Erhai: My minimalist homestay experience diary

Pure white architecture paired with an infinity sea view,
definitely the Dali version of Santorini—
Dali Pomegranate Sea View Boutique Hotel (Shuanglang Erhai Branch)
The key is you can lie down and watch the sunset over Cangshan and Erhai🌄
Don’t want to leave at all, who understands this feeling

🌊 Amazing location
Just 5 minutes from the Shuanglang North Exit off the highway, easy for those bad with directions (right opposite Shuanglang Passenger Transport Center)

☁️ Picture-perfect scenes
• Pure white arched courtyard: The light at 9 AM is the best! Wear a light-colored dress + straw hat, with tropical greenery and Erhai blue, every shot looks like a magazine cover 🎞️
• Private room terrace: 180° full sea view! Pull open the electric curtains to see the sparkling Erhai, lying down and having afternoon tea here makes for a lazy vibe 🌊

🛏️ Living inside a painting
The room’s smart technology amazed us; the fully smart XiaoDu even controls the air conditioning. The bathtub comes with disposable bath bags and Erhai specialty bath salts. Watching the clouds roll over Cangshan through the floor-to-ceiling window while soaking is worth the price;
Special praise for the bedding—the down comforter is so fluffy it feels like sleeping on clouds, even picky sleepers fall asleep instantly ☁️

🍰 Taste temptation
• The complimentary breakfast rice noodles are even more fragrant than old city shops
• Afternoon tea includes tiramisu + coffee/fruit tea. After taking photos, sit by the water platform to enjoy dessert and watch Erhai. My bestie exclaimed, “This is life” 💕

✨ Nearby activities
• 8-minute walk to "Forten" sea view restaurant (same photo spot as Yang Yang)
• Rent an electric scooter and zoom to Wase Town in 15 minutes; the Erhai S-bend along the way is ten times less crowded than the popular Panxi
• At night, return to Shuanglang Ancient Town to visit the night market; must-try items are aged tofu and grilled milk fan

💡 Tips:
• Best photo times: 9:00-11:00 & 16:00-18:30 (Yunnan sunsets are late)
• Outfit suggestions: white/blue dresses + straw bags; the homestay provides free ethnic-style shawls
• Altitude sickness warning: Dali is 2000 meters above sea level, don’t be as excited as I was on the first day running and jumping, it can cause dizziness

If you only stay at one homestay in Dali, choose Pomegranate with your eyes closed🌸
From design to service details, it’s a perfect 100💯
Every corner of the public area says “Take photos quickly,”
Bring a 256G phone memory card and you’re all set~
