Qixianling Hot Spring National Forest Park, located northeast of Baoting Li and Miao Autonomous County, is a National AAAA-level scenic area encompassing both a hot spring area and a forest area. Its charm lies in its hot springs, unique peaks, ethnic customs, and tropical countryside. Qixianling is divided into three main areas: the Qixianling National Park Experience Tour, the Tropical Rainforest Adventure Tour, and the Mountaineering Adventure Tour.
The breathtaking beauty of Qixianling's unique peaks is particularly renowned. Between the third and fourth peaks of Qixianling lies a small stone peak, standing opposite the fourth. The small stone peak resembles a child, and from a distance, the four peaks resemble Guanyin, leading people to call this scene "Child Worshipping Guanyin." Climbing to the summit of Qixianling offers the boundless joy of "traveling with the immortals, rejoicing with the people, intoxicated by the scenery, and living with the mountains." The seven peaks, standing upright like human fingers, point to the sky, resembling a pavilion of fairies, hence the name of the mountain range. The front peak is majestic, reaching 1,126 meters above sea level, while the six smaller peaks at the back are nestled together.
The mountain is densely covered with pristine tropical rainforest, creating a natural kingdom of flora and fauna. Over 500 rare plant species and 500 wild animal species have been discovered within the scenic area, including Hainan Huanghuali, Alsophila spinulosa, Anthracnose cycad, and King Cobra, all of which are under national protection.
The climate is mild, with an average annual temperature of around 23°C. The rainy season is from May to October, so the best time to climb the mountain is from November to April.
It usually takes about 4 hours to climb to the top and then down to the foot of the mountain.
