Waiting for the wind, waiting for a window to Erhai | My healing diary at a Shuanglang guesthouse

The divine choice for a Shuanglang guesthouse stay is to stay at the Dali Gugu Beautiful Sea View Giant Screen Hotel (Erhai Shuanglang Branch). The photos taken here have been flooded with questions on social media💥

🌅【A perfect experience for sea view lovers】
The 180-degree unobstructed view of Erhai is my favorite! Every day I open my eyes to Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake, lying in the attic cabin watching the clouds roll by☁️, even the reflections are like paintings🖼️.
A special shoutout to their giant screen pool terrace—the effect where water meets sky is amazing. Wearing a white dress and posing casually can easily create stunning shots (recommended to shoot between 4-6 PM when the light is softest).

🛏️【Configurations that detail lovers will adore】
• Smart toilet + projector + private beach area, hardware better than many five-star hotels
• Butler-style service is super thoughtful💕, from silver ear soup at check-in to free travel photography, they even proactively provided a charging cable I forgot to bring
• The freshly cooked rice noodles for breakfast are super fresh, and the afternoon tea tiramisu deserves full marks

📸【Top 3 photo spots】
1️⃣ Rooftop glass terrace (pool reflecting Cangshan, wide-angle lens recommended)
2️⃣ Attic small window in the room (framed composition with a strong storytelling vibe)
3️⃣ Waterside beach area (silhouette shots at dusk are amazing)

🚗【Location perks】
• 3-minute walk to the core area of Shuanglang Ancient Town, but completely unaffected by the noise
• The lake tree opposite the guesthouse is a hidden photo spot, the golden tree trunk at sunset is super dreamy
• Address: Diagonally opposite Shuanglang Middle School, Shuanglang Town (very accurate for taxi navigation)

💡【Practical tips】
• Be sure to choose a sea view suite; the basic room type doesn’t show the full view
• Bring a white or yellow long dress, perfect match with the blue and white background
