Dali, this city steeped in the poetic charm of "wind, flowers, snow, and moon," is truly perfect for temporarily setting aside trivial matters and relaxing yourself! This time, staying at the Orange Hotel in Dali Ancient Town not only gave me an amazing living experience but also offered great value for money, making me want to enthusiastically recommend it✨
1. Super Convenient Location
This Orange Boutique Hotel is located right next to the ancient town, making travel super worry-free! It’s only an 8-minute walk to the lively Renmin Road Bar Street, so you can head out anytime in the evening to enjoy the bustling atmosphere; if you want to visit the Erhai Ecological Corridor to see the lake and feel the breeze, it’s about a 10-minute taxi ride from the hotel, easily unlocking Dali’s popular spots🚗
2. Comfortable and Thoughtful Living Experience
The room experience was impeccable, so comfortable I didn’t want to leave! According to the front desk lady, the hotel has only been open for 2 years, so all the facilities are brand new. I stayed in the Moonlight Elegant King Room, with a mattress that was just the right firmness, and I naturally woke up the next day feeling completely refreshed😴 The bathroom amenities included Orange’s custom citrus-scented shower gel, leaving a fresh fruity fragrance all over after showering; the best part was the window facing Cangshan Mountain, with morning sunlight streaming through the sheer curtains, making every snapshot feel like a cinematic masterpiece📸
3. Abundant Surroundings and Warm Service
There are plenty of attractions nearby, just a 10-minute walk to the busiest Renmin Road in Dali Ancient Town, and an 8-minute taxi ride to the Bai ethnic-style San Yue Street. Nearby is also the popular photo spot—the Dali Bedsheet Factory Art District. The front desk staff were especially warm and helpful, reminding me which exit to use for the fastest taxi pickup and proactively asking daily if I needed any toiletries replenished; around 8 PM, they even brought goodnight fruit and warm milk, with warmth in every detail❤️
4. Practical Travel Tips
The hotel’s peak season is from April to October, so it’s recommended to book 2 weeks in advance to avoid disappointment;
Dining around the ancient town tends to be pricey, so taking a taxi to Xiaguan for local eateries is more economical;
Dali has a big temperature difference between day and night, so remember to bring a jacket when strolling the ancient town at night.
Finally, a warm reminder: it’s best to book a package that includes breakfast. Their rice noodles are made in authentic Dali style, incredibly fresh and delicious—you must try them!
