Underrated Winter in Dalian: 3-Day Reverse Road Trip for the New Year

Explore Dalian in a new way: take your family on a coastal road trip in a camper van. Start from Bangchuidao Island, and pass by Amber Bay, Laohutan Ocean Park, Fisherman's Wharf, the cross-sea bridge viewing point, and the Forest Zoo. The air is clear, the scenery is picturesque, and there are many parking spots along the way where you can stop and take a stroll. You can even drive directly to the beach in many places.

🚅High-speed rail: Dalian has two railway stations, both of which are close to the city center and convenient for travel.
🚢Ferry: Experience taking a ferry to Dalian. There are ferries from Yantai and Weihai to Dalian every day.
✈️Airport: The airport is not far from the city center. It is about 10 km by taxi to Zhongshan Square, and Metro Line 2 goes directly to the city center.
🚇Metro: There are 6 lines in total, which are convenient and fast.

✓Silver Beach
Feed the seagulls, meet free-range sika deer, and take a walk along the seaside boardwalk.
✓Lingjiao Bay Fisherman's Wharf
A city icon of Dalian with a European style. There are many popular photo spots that are free to use.
✓Amber Bay
Walk up the boardwalk to the high cliff, and see the sun shining on the fishing boats.
✓Laohutan Ocean Park
Look at the sea and feed the seagulls. You can bring your own bread and sausages.
✓Haizhiyun Park
Navigate to Xuri Square. The best photo spots are Shengxiang Tianmen Mountain, Chenxi Beach, and the steps into the sea. Wear comfortable shoes, as it can be tiring.
✓Gangdong Fifth Street
Donggang is close to Dalian Port, and the sea is very blue. Many people wait to see the large ferries pass by at 10:50 am every day.
✓Boxia Bay
A beautiful lighthouse far from the city center. It is recommended to visit on the way from the airport or railway station.
