📍Huayan Temple: Located at 459 Xiasipo Street, Datong Ancient City, it is one of the most well-preserved Liao-Jin temples in China and definitely a must-visit cultural landmark in Datong! The magnificent Mahavira Hall, lifelike painted sculptures of Bodhisattvas, and the ancient bricks covering the entire ground all exude a strong sense of history~
Opening hours vary by season, so remember to check in advance! From April to September, it’s 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM; during the Golden Week in October, it extends to 6:00 PM. Tickets are 50 yuan, a great value!
