Humayun’s Tomb - inspiration of Taj Mahal

One of the most famous tourist attractions in New Delhi is Humayun’s Tomb. It is built in 1570 by Humayun’s son, the great Emperor Akbar.

The garden-tomb is designed and built in red sandstone by Persian and Indian craftsmen’s, much grander than any tomb built before it.

The mighty Taj Mahal is heavily inspired by the design and layout of Humayun’s Tomb.
