Don't bother looking elsewhere, here is the complete guide for staying and playing at Qingli Homestay in Moganshan

Location Information📍
The homestay I stayed at is in Xiantan Village, Moganshan Town, hidden deep in the bamboo forest. It’s about a 20-minute drive from the Moganshan highway exit and only about 10 kilometers from the entrance to the Moganshan Scenic Area. Surrounded by lush green bamboo🎋, you can hear birds chirping when you open the window in the morning, and the air is filled with the scent of fresh grass—super healing~

Nearby Attractions🏞️
- Moganshan Scenic Area: About 10 kilometers from the homestay, ticket price 80 RMB. You can visit Jianchi Pond, Luhuadang Park, take a sightseeing bus to see the sea of clouds in the mountains☁️, and check in at the Republic of China-era old villas, which have a strong vintage vibe~
- Xiantan Rural Amusement Park: A 5-minute walk away, ticket price 30 RMB. There’s a small train, cute pet interactions, and in spring you can see rapeseed flower fields🌼. Perfect for bringing kids or taking fresh, bright photos~
- Discovery Extreme Exploration Base: A 15-minute drive, tickets plus activities start at about 200 RMB. You can try zip-lining and jungle adventures🧗. If you like thrills, you must try it—super stress-relieving~
- Naked Stump Valley: A 20-minute drive. Although it’s a resort, the tea garden trails around it are stunning and free to enter! Walking through the tea garden to take forest-style photos🍵, every shot looks like a masterpiece~
- Dadouwu Reservoir: An 18-minute drive, a lesser-known “Little Jiuzhaigou”! The lake water is crystal blue, surrounded by bamboo forest, few people and beautiful scenery. Sitting by the lake to daydream or take photos is very relaxing💧

Room Facilities🛏️
The homestay doesn’t have many rooms but they are very exquisite. The room I stayed in had a private terrace with a direct view of the bamboo forest. The mattress is from DeRUCCI, super comfortable to lie on, and the bedding is pure cotton, soft to the touch~ The bathroom has a dry and wet separation, uses Kohler sanitary ware🚿, and is equipped with a Dyson hairdryer, very thoughtful details. The room has rattan sofas, a bathroom tea table, and custom-made celadon tea sets🍶. Drinking tea while looking out at the bamboo forest is so relaxing~

Photo Tips📷
- Homestay Terrace: Each room’s terrace faces the bamboo forest. In the morning or at dusk when the light is soft, wear a light-colored dress and sit on the rattan chair. The photos will have a forest-style lazy vibe🌿. Remember to use the bamboo forest as the background for a brightening effect~
- Homestay Courtyard: The yard has stone paths, a small pond, and a vintage swing. Take reflection photos by the pond or candid shots on the swing. Fresh and photogenic, paired with the homestay’s white walls and gray tiles for a great atmosphere~
- Naked Stump Valley Tea Garden: Go around 3 PM when sunlight filters through the tea trees. Standing on the tea garden path, side or back shots are very beautiful🍵. Wearing light-colored clothes matches the green tea garden perfectly~
- Dadouwu Reservoir: Before 10 AM the light is good. Stand on the rocks by the reservoir with the blue lake and bamboo forest as the background. Take full-body or half-body shots for a cool, crisp vibe💧

Important Tips⚠️
- Moganshan has many mountain roads. If driving yourself, it’s recommended to drive an SUV or a car with high clearance. Beginners should drive slowly🚗~
- To take beautiful bamboo forest photos, it’s best to wear white, light blue, or other light-colored clothes. Avoid dark colors for better photos~
- There are few restaurants around the homestay. For dinner, you can pre-order farmhouse dishes from the homestay. The braised pork with dried bamboo shoots is very fragrant🥩~
- There is a big temperature difference between morning and evening. Even if you come in summer, remember to bring a light jacket. It won’t be cold walking in the courtyard at night~
