The joy of waking up early in Mogan Mountain! Healed by the mountain forest oxygen bar

Stayed in Mogan Mountain for 3 days and completely fell in love with the mornings here! No alarm clock, naturally awakened by birdsong and insect chirping, it really feels 100 times better than sleeping in~

Got up at dawn, pushed open the wooden window of the guesthouse and was instantly amazed—layers upon layers of bamboo sea and forest spread out before my eyes, deep green, light green, and tender yellow intertwined like a breathing ink painting. The cool breeze carried the fresh scent of grass and soil, taking a deep breath felt like my lungs were completely cleansed, even yawning felt sweet!

Walking down the stone path behind the guesthouse, following the sound of flowing water, you can find a small waterfall hidden in the bamboo forest. The pool water is so clear you can see the pebbles at the bottom, sunlight filtering through the bamboo leaves sparkles on the water surface like scattered silver. The village hasn’t fully awakened yet, only occasional villagers pass by in the alley, footsteps, wind, and water sounds blend together, so quiet you can hear your own heartbeat.

Sitting on a stone by the pool, zoning out while watching bamboo leaves gently sway in the wind, occasionally a little squirrel dashes across a tree trunk. This undisturbed relaxation is truly a kind of healing you can’t find in the city. When slowly walking back to the guesthouse, the landlady had already prepared freshly ground soy milk and freshly steamed dried bamboo shoot and pork buns. Having breakfast with the mountain forest view even improved my appetite~

💡 Insider Tips from a Local Expert

1. To enjoy peace and quiet, it’s recommended to stay in a lesser-known guesthouse halfway up the mountain, avoiding the main street of the scenic area where there are fewer people in the morning.
2. The temperature difference is big in the morning, remember to bring a light jacket and wear comfortable sneakers for walking on mountain paths.
3. Don’t just focus on sightseeing, bring a small bottle to fill with mountain spring water. It’s sweet and refreshing, much better than bought drinks.
4. If staying in a room with a terrace, prepare a small blanket in advance. Sitting on the terrace in the morning drinking tea and watching the mountains will maximize your happiness.

Don’t sleep in when you come to Mogan Mountain! Waking up 2 hours earlier lets you embrace the gentleness of the whole mountain forest. This kind of healing feeling will stay with you for a long time~
