Qatar Doha is a destination that is not easy to visit for tourism, often serving as a layover for many travelers. Despite this, Doha is a city full of charm, even for a one-day trip. Walking along the coastline near the Museum of Islamic Art, you'll find cafes that feel like an oasis, offering relief from the intense heat.
Doha's nighttime scenery has a unique allure that sets it apart from other cities. While it may seem like there are no iconic landmarks, each building shines with its own distinct light and charm. Since the sun sets late in Doha, especially during summer, it's best to visit later in the evening to catch the sunset.
Cafes where you can enjoy the night view typically open around 5 PM. If you venture out before then, the heat can be overwhelming. I remember walking from my accommodation to the Museum of Islamic Art, which was only a 10-minute distance, but the heat forced me to return to my lodging.
Hamad International Airport in Doha is one of the world's most renowned airports. It's not only ideal for layovers but also offers excellent convenience. The view from the lounge was unforgettable, making it one of the airports I wish to visit again.
One unique experience I had was at the exclusive immigration counter for business and first-class travelers. I was surprised to find no staff present at the counter. However, the entry lounge was a fascinating experience, adding to the novelty of my visit.
