Exploring the ancient Li ethnic boat-shaped houses in Baicha Village

On the second day of our trip along the western line of Hainan, we visited Baicha Village, an ancient Li ethnic village deep in the old forest. Along the way, we were amazed by the stunning scenery at the Yulong Mountain viewing platform and the Daguanba Reservoir. Baicha Village, an ancient village in Jiangbian Township, Dongfang City, is surrounded by mountains and has a beautiful ecology. The original 71 households with more than 350 people moved to a new village in 2009 due to the renovation of thatched houses. The 81 boat-shaped houses and 6 granaries where they originally lived are still well preserved. It can also be said that the Li ethnic residents here have been away from the basic primitive tribal life for less than 20 years.
